I guess I am just incredibly lucky. I have never, ever gotten stuck on a rope or whatnot, and I've been jumping over/past/down some weird shit. :)
Damodred on 28/5/2002 at 23:48
I get stuck fairly frequently, but somehow managed to get out of it pretty often. By jumping backwards most of the time, or crouching and walking away. I also fell in the void numerous times :D And I thought it was gone...sigh.
D.

Dear Kenshindono!
I know well it's popular to use it that way nowadays in the web! But as a gay male I feel totally angered by such statements!
WTF is going on out there! Don't you kids have anything else to do then use your fellows curses without using your mind! In don't like living in a world a constant fight and bashing, but if YOU want it, then I'm won't step back! Just learn to think first and speak/write later.
"We" - meaning the gay part of mankind - have stepped back 3000 years of persecution including burning, shooting, drowning and all kind of torture men could imagine, but I just say: no more!

Yeah Kenshindono. Get with the times.
Homophobia is so gay.
BattleMage on 3/6/2002 at 18:03
Dear Avenger,
I am amazed that after being persecuted, burned, shot, drowned and tortured in any way imaginable and having lived through all that, you are finally very angered by an anonymous person on a games' messageboard using the word "gay" in the wrong context.
You need to get some sense of proportion and if you really have to fight, fight for something worthy.
SuperTech on 3/6/2002 at 18:25
Using gay in the context he did had nothing to do with homosexuality. Gay meant happy or fun loving long before it was slang for homosexual.
Use the word ghey to skirt the human rights activists. =)

I personally think the music is gay. When I''m walking, it always brightens my day. The gay sound of the brass instruments would make anyone gay.

Avenger, if this was UO I'd pk your gay ass!
Well, if this was UO I'd pk all of you, really... but I'd make sure to get an extra large stick to shove up Avengers stretched ass.

To Battlemage: if you where bashed half-dead just because you loved and kissed you boyfriend by hateful bystanders like myself, and I'll get such a response, you just do not kow what life is about.
Discriminations starts with the misuse of words. Even a Hitler has begun that way, with discriminating words. They are powerful. Mindlessness is the most dire enemy, as there are few who really hate and kill, but many who nurture the growth by such thoughtless words. German history is proof.
To Supertech: sorry, that humbug. Call any Sociologist, Language Scientist or whatever. The negative connotation of GAY = FAG = HOMO is without doubt, whether you the user of it is aware or not. I' just sick of 10 year old kids calling their schoolmates "gay" or "queer" or "fag" not even knowing what it is. If a way of love is a word of taunt and offense, something got entirely wrong with humanity!
Tuco: Not all gay are defenseless drags. I have relearned the last 10 years to harm a man if needed. JUST HOPE YOU'LL NEVER MEET ME, OR YOU'LL REGRET. This is not yoke. I do not know how you meant such a statement, nor do I care!

...?
avenger really is gay?
this is starting to get really OT, but I'm suprised you haven't gotten used to the word "gay" being used in a negative connotation. Most gay people never come out simply because they don't wanna have to deal with that stuff. It was a decision you made when you told people you were gay. And it's something you will have to get used to. At least on the internet, no one can ***physically hit you or some hate crimes like that.
Discrimination against gays has been around a LOT longer than the words used against them. So, by saying that me calling my friend "gay" makes him hate gay people, that is incorrect.
And even if it did work like that, if 10 year old kids call eachother queer w/o knowing what it is, how could that POSSIBLY cause hate? Even if society has accepted that being gay is socially "different" (wrong in some cases), it is becoming yet more popular. So I would think that the influence of words like fag or homo has no effect on the social standing of gays.
Let's just lighten up on this subject.
