Thinking of a SS "true" port to 2007

I'm glad you have a work flow going for you. But I don't have any intention of making a level right now because, as you said, I don't have Shock installed. I'm waiting for my $3,200 system to come (in a few weeks probably) before I start any major work. What I'm doing right now is scouting out the potential talent here and seeing what the reactions are to getting this done and over with. It's about time something big happened besides Rebirth which Resucked in some major ways.

Since you already have Shock installed, would it be too much to ask if you could provide me with screenshots and sprite images to work from? I'd really appreciate it and it'd save a lot of my time to be put toward modeling and texturing.

But installing Shock and extracting the textures yourself would be the work of a few minutes?
All you need is ObjArt.res (<800k) from the CD and Glen's extraction tool..

Thanks Voice, I appreciate it. I really can't install anything on the laptop since it's my fiancee's and she's already got problems with 3DS being on it, let alone SS2.

Both barrels are done. If I get a bit more time (wrangling with Dell over my XPS shipment right now) tonight I'll paint them with spec, bump, and diffuse maps.

What happened to all the models that G'len et al. made for CCP? I can't find them anymore, not even screenshots. I was going to make some stuff but I wanted to find out what had been done already and what needs to be done. Aircraft can use them too if he likes.

Get Yorrick (JediKorenchkin) to give you access to the CCP forums.
He was forced to make them non-public after they were attacked by spambots so severely that they became unworkable.

Hey, in fact, you already are a member. Just get it to reset your password since passwords didn't survive the switchover from the old forums.

Yeah, as NV said the CCP Forums were being completely bludgeoned, (jackass bots) so I combined them with my other struggling forums ((http://thefrayededge.net/forums/)) and made them private (as said forums were also being hit by bots, just not as badly). I've now come across a way to completely stop the attacks (At least on the TFE Forums), so I really ought to make the CCP Forum public again. But yeah if you registered before you should still be now. I think the passwords didn't carry over right because the two software's encode them differently. (words in parentheses)
