But now it lives again, just like the subjects of Mannimarco!
Ailtar on 21/1/2007 at 23:14
Three pages have passed and there have only been 4 proper "Things not to do in Oblivion" :p.
Palantir on 23/1/2007 at 03:21
Maybe it's a good idea to change the topic into "Things to do in Oblivion"....
Matthew on 23/1/2007 at 10:39
Maybe we should change it to 'Jauffre is a psycho'.
Palantir on 23/1/2007 at 12:59
Good idea, we can change the topic to "Jauffre--from Shalebridge Cradle?"
Ailtar on 26/1/2007 at 03:13
Jauffre is a pyscho. "Go to a town that is overrun with Deadra and where practically everyone was slaughtered, including guards, and go see if the Emperor's son just so happens to survive it all. What? You a level one? Then take 20 steel arrows out of my chest. They should be handy. Don't remember if I have a bow or not though..."
Lytha on 26/1/2007 at 09:56
Well, he didn't know about the daedra attack on Kvatch at this point, did he.
The content of his chest became a bit ridiculous though when I did that quest at a higher level, wearing half dwarven, half orcish armor. "Oh goodie... iron and leather armor? Err, thanks..."

Mannimarco may have a way of ressurecting this thread...
Matthew on 1/2/2007 at 10:38
That joke's been done about eight posts up. :p

Here are a few things never to do in Oblivion:
- don't ever wonder why there isn't a book "Guide to Kvatch", even though the city was only recently destroyed and the books were written some time ago.
- don't ever enter a new dungeon without taking a hard save before. The dungeon might contain some quest monsters in level 50 or monsters that you only can kill above level 23 (as far as I understood that guide correctly...)
- don't use one of the premade classes or you will level by far too fast.
- don't play Oblivion without the BTmod and several other mods, or the interface and lowbie quest rewards which could be SO much better will disappoint you.
- don't ever forget to keep a silver or enchanted weapon with you, because you never know if a will-o-wisp or a ghost is lurking behing the next corner.
- don't become master of the fighters guild before your blade skill is > 70 and the advanced trainers already told you about the master trainer. I did and the fighters guild trainers all smiled at me and refused to train me any longer or to discuss the topic at all... (I expect something similar with the spell merchants in the mages guild, so I wait with their quests...)
These things aren't funny though... :(
