That joke's been done about eight posts up.
Oops, sorry for that.
I was wondering how can it be that she was SO hard to kill for my level 5 character.... Now this can explain it.
BTW, There's a way to "avoid" murder:
Summon a creature, attack it, target come to help you, poison the dagger or whatever, oops....:ebil:

Good idea, really... or you could perhaps use a frenzy on your target.
Well, my first murder victim happens to be the guard captain in the daedric quest with the ogre slaves. I had finished the quest, revisited the mine, and he gave me nasty lines. So I stabbed him in the back, stole his armor and sold it.
Creepy guy in the black cloak appeared in the next night.
Next two murders were during the "webspinner's" daedric quest. This was a really nasty quest, I'm not happy with the murderers and the frenzy in the village afterwards at all... :(
And now, some strange fourth murder appeared in my statistics, and I don't know who it was. Perhaps a friendly NPC in some dungeon? Perhaps one of the 2 Bruma spies? Maybe it happened when I solved the "infiltration" quest from the mainquest line by shooting the doorkeeper right away? Hrm...
A more or less amusing thing not to do:
- don't be as picky about the appearance of your statue as you were about the appearance of your character during the creation, or you'll spend hours dressing up "just right"... (the appearance of the statue is determined by your clothing just when Martin has arrived back at Cloud Ruler Temple and has put his heavy armor away. What? Yes, my statue looks now "just right"... )

The game is a bit odd about that; my first 'murder' was a hostile character in one of the Mages' Guild quests. Admittedly he was running for his life at the time, or perhaps the 'hostile' flag is turned off just before they move to a different map area?
Still, I slept soundly nonetheless.

My first character hadn't killed any "good citizen", and one day when I'm sleeping in my home, DarkBrotherhood came.
some AI framed me?
:weird: ...
So this tells us always prepare an alternate save.

The same situarion had happened to me, though I was not surprised for I thought that thieves you kill, the ones that attack you on the roads, count as well to be visited by DB.

I don't think I've killed any of these bandits recently, can't be it.
Most likely are the two spies in Bruma: both were roaming around in the woods, in a non-hostile mode. If they'd seen me, they would have turned hostile. So I killed them before they could do that. The questlog turned a bit funky at that point, as if I would've been supposed to talk to the guard captain in Bruma before shooting spies in the back.
Or the second-in-command of the mythic dawn during the infiltration. That might have been it, too.
Some really weird stuff happened today, too. I was in Chorrol, and saw the "oh, we love dogs! doesn't everyone?" lady walking her dogs. So, I broke into her house (I don't love dogs, and the dogs had stopped me from breaking in at the normal hours of the night so far.) Her husband was at home, didn't see me at first. But then he moved and stood there, facing the stairs. I couldn't sneak back out, so I left sneak mode, walked to him, exchanged a bit of smalltalk. He didn't turn hostile or anything.
I left the house before he could turn hostile or angry.
Here the weirdness started: he left the house with me. Immediately, he turned hostile - towards the guard on the other side of the square. Shaking his fists, he ran off to engage this guard in combat, and he was cut down fast.
Very weird. I had never seen him outside of the house, and I wonder a bit if he had lycantrophia (sp) or somesuch. Or maybe his dogs had infected him with rabies. But then again, I didn't care, so I went back in and stole the rest of the goods. :p
