1. Go into an aylelid ruin somewhere in the wilderness and try to grab one of the black crystals on the tall pillar. (trust me I tried they shoot frost things that do about 130 damage.

lava swimming is a known past time that anyone can enjoy as long as you have the propper equipment, 100% fire resistance and 100% phsical damage resistance, otherwise its a bad idea

I think the next thing a person does after having read this thead is gallop for Oblivion to quickly make a savegame and just try everything stated above :)

I remember in Baldur's Gate II, you could push a character's elemental resistance BEYOND 100%. With 125% Fire Resistance, my paladin was able to heal by walking through lava or getting hit by fireballs.

And besides, you never stop being curious about how your character dies. I was mercifull enough to do it only a couple of times on purpose (lava sweeming was neither of them :))
