With a 23 of Marksman (from the black robes of the DB) -- it appears I'm unable to hit the target. The guide states that while marksmanship does have an impact on the accuracy of the shot, "not a big one and you should be able to hit the target reliably with a low skill if you know where to aim -- the spot where the figure's hands hold the sword." So, I tried bumping up marksmanship to 90 -- made no difference. I've done about 30 reloads trying to hit that spot, but the arrow keeps falling way short -- it makes it about halfway to the statue and that's it -- I'm too damn far away. Anyone have similar problems here?
As I said in the Quest ID thread -- I'm ready to use a cheat to get past this quest stage, if I can't figure out what to do. I'm getting a bit irritated to say the least. :mad:

That's the first I've heard of that particular problem. You are pulling the bowstring all the way back before letting the arrow go, right?

As in real life when using a bow you need to aim above your target in order to hit it because the arrow is going to drop as it goes toward the target,I have done this part of the quest twice and have had to do it each time.
If you do that I am sure you will hit it.

And as Peeper says, make sure you are holding down the mouse-button for long enough

With things like these you should post a screenshot where you are aiming. Its possible you aren't shooting from where the game wants you to shoot from.
