Ho! I bid thee greetings from the ebony mine near the ashlands! I'm taking time off dodging cliff racers to ask for help...
The women asking for the family jewels from the Dro' Zhirr. Should I kill the thieving bastard or do as he says? Is there any gain from either choice?
And VIVEC! Oh Vivec... most cramped up city ever. I don't feel like continuing Mr. Cosade's quest for now. Anything else I can do? Any tombs to raid (I've gotten the ones near Caldera. 2 right?)? I was thinking hopping over to Gnisis to join the Imperial army and from there, take a ride to Vivec. Or is there something else better? I have the plugin for some seige at some fort but I don't recall the option being there when I'm talking to Mr. Gravis (sp?).
Thanks! Now I shall continue cutting my way though the dieseased alits which continue to give me rude shocks when they appear out of nowhere.
*runs*
Note: Wow. Got myself a Daedric claymore from one of the tombs. Now I see what all the fuss is about. :cheeky:

Hey, CoK ;) I'd suggest just getting the jewels for the woman; she won't go away either way, but if you partner w/ the kitty, then she never stops asking after the things... and it's not like money is scarce after the 1st part of the game.
As for things to do in Vivec, have you chatted with the common people about the latest rumors? You can find a number of minor quests (find a husband, track down a killer, etc) that way, and there are even more if you wander around, just talking to everyone, looking for non-standard greetings. Or if you're looking for a bit more adventure, you can join the Temple in the Temple canton or the Morag Tong in the Arena canton, or visit a certain room in St. Delyn's sewers for a chat w/ a Daedric prince... and that's just scratching the surface of the place ;)

Thanks for the tips by the way. I didn't know selecting "latest rumours" from certain individuals contained side quests. Always thought they'd end up saying the same thing. Er, can you give me an example? Like which character from which town?

PLUNDER! BURN! RAPE! Erm.. If you are a Hlaalu person, how about joining the Thieves guild or Morag Tong? Well.. since Morag centers in Vivec then maybe only the Thieves, they offer quite a bit legwork to do if you dont want to wander around the upturned ice cream cones.

Sorry, didn't know you objected to that abbreviation :p
Anyhow, the non-Ordinators inside the top level of the foreign quarter will talk about one (a murderer is running loose), as will the non-Ordinators in the middle level of... what is it, St. Delyn? That, or St. Olms (a woman's husband is missing). The rumors usually point you to the right person and place, and they're intros to quests so they're stored in your Journal.

Forsythe
No no. When I saw the ";) ", I thought you were trying to tell me that I am one literally due to my lack of knowledge of Morrowind.
Sorry bout' that.

I'd definitely join the Imperial Legion. They're probably my most favorite faction. If you download Dracandro's Voice mod, it makes it even better. (As soon as you outrank the guards, you can command them to follow you, stay where they are, or walk around.)
Irakaz on 19/3/2004 at 19:55
You can COMMAND the guards - weeps for joy - could you put a link on please

No worries, CoK ;)
