I am more worried about the mood being lost, rather than having an incomprehensible story. Though, I don't think I will follow Dishonored as much as Thief. I still can't believe that we are in a situation where a game that inspired another game, is being inspired by that game. I am still giving EM the benefit of the doubt, but their silence on the matter, less than half a year before release, is maddening.
No story hints. No level runs. Worrisome character development.
I don't know how they have such difficulty "getting" Thief. It's so simple. That's why it was brilliant.

The fact that I have to explain this just shows once and for all what total intellectual slugs you all are. Imbeciles.
Imbeciles? But you're the one who thinks Russian cakes are good...
I am joking.

I'm not a fan of NuGarrett being a cloathes hanger for the new bat suit and bow.
I think his new suit looks a lot like the "masked Garrett" from John P's Thief 3 texture packs, which strangely enough is the one I ended up liking when I installed that. So I have no real complaint about how he looks. His face is similar enough to the one seen on the cover arts of the original games as well as in the Thief Deadly Shadows cutscenes.
That aside I think the story end is going to be awful as there was no real answers about anything given, really. It's a reboot of the series they say, but Garrett has an eye that looks like it could be mechanical like the one he gets during the original series? Is it a real reboot or just a sort of "adventures of Garrett that take place sometime after the first game"? They also don't really seem to understand that Garrett was a sarcastic realist that would occasionally do a good deed (often if it benefited him in some way or had future potential to benefit him) rather than what they seem to be billing him as here which is a sort of anti-hero caricature of insufferable self-righteous "social justice" types. I really don't think this new voice guy, as decent of a voice actor as he may be, can nail the way of portraying Garrett that Stephen Russell could, though. He doesn't seem to do the sarcasm and sardonic dark humor thing at all which was a defining characteristic of Garrett's personality.

Neither do I have a complaint about how he looks, rather that how he looks has become a big deal - by design and intention of Eidos Montreal. If you want to engage effectively with the audience, show less. Let player's imaginations fill in the detail.
