Alright Fett, that's it. I've played nice. I've been patient. Gave you whiners rope arrows. I mean, gimped rope arrows, sure, but some wounds don't heal in a decade, ya' know? And what do I get for my trouble? POO-POO HEAD? Fine ...
Tomorrow I buy Star Wars.

You know Fett's a real big fan of Nickelback, right? If you really want to get back at him, make fun of Chad Kroeger. He'll flip out.

I'll go out on a second limb and suggest that this is a translation issue.
Doesn't he just mean the inspiration came from the animators/animation team? He says animation "side" but does he mean the animators themselves?
Good ideas should, like good business, come from where you find it, no?
If the animation team (and remember - there are cut scenes as well as third person animations, and animators don't just work on Garrett do they?) were thinking about things Garrett would do based on the previous Thief games and that was the seed of inspiration what's the problem?
My best game/app ideas come in the half sleep half dream state as I fall asleep.

Oh no, I see the problem.
It's a chance to whine.
Carry on. As you were.
Springheel on 28/6/2013 at 13:13
Yes, I forgot that expressing disapointment was considered whining here. And you know, all the trailers and copy we've seen so far have gotten critical acclaim for their writing, so I guess I'm going completely against the evidence available.
You're right, maybe he meant something completely different from what he actually said. Maybe "I am the shadows, the dark and deadly, the velvet night," is actually some kind of insanely clever writing that's just so clever you can't even understand it until it's put in context.

It's whining when it's "much ado about nothing", as is the case 97.8% of the time. Oh no, they took inspiration for the story from the work the animation team did! The story isn't related in any way to the earlier Thief games! Stéphane D'Astous pissed in my bowl of Froot Loops®!
Springheel on 28/6/2013 at 13:29
Right, hoping for a meaningful connection to the original factions or a competent answer to a question about the inspiration for the story is expecting too much.
Got it, thanks.
Jason Moyer on 28/6/2013 at 13:31
Who cares? The game has nothing to do with the classic Thief trilogy, and the sooner people get over that the sooner we can all sit and wait for the game to come out without sounding like preschoolers.

Can we see his ... pecker?
Yes. And animated too. That's why they had to ditch Stephen Russell. He's getting too old for that sort of thing...

Well done on totally ignoring my post re: translation.
