I hardly doubt that it has anything to do with the steps. Otherwise I'm a genius playing TDS with no stair problems whatsoever.

It was only a problem with the tower stairs in the Church on the final mission. Didn't matter what settings I changed in the properties, I always got stuck going up on those stairs like some invisible barrier was there, unless I went along the outer edge against the wall.
Would have tried to use a different static mesh but there was nothing that fitted as that one did, and since I had built the tower around the stairs, I would have had to rebuild the towers. Maybe I will attempt a rebuild for version 2.0.

If there is indeed something wrong with the stairs, you can check their collision hull to "exact" in the static mesh browser before adding it.

Thanks! Didn't need to place new ones, just changed the flag, tested it and it worked fine. I think there are a few other static meshes that had random invisible barriers, so I'll check those out too.
I've been told that you are the person to speak to about English to German translations?

You're welcome. Yes, I did a lot of translations into German but since I also have another FM to translate (which I haven't touched for weeks honestly, thanks to my own FM and other stuff), I wanted to employ gnartsch at least for half the work. We'll see what we can do, if you're sure already that your readables won't change, I can already have a look at them.

There will be some changes to a few of the books, specifically in the Mansion level, and I do plan to add a few extra ones too. But I am happy with all the books from the Practice, Auction, Tracker and Confrontation levels, so you could start with those. But there's no real rush, and what ever you are able to do is more than I can do, so it would be appreciated... And not just by myself.:thumb:
I've been trawling through the forums looking for help with how to do multi-lingual Objectives and can't find the answers I'm looking for. Any idea how you do that or of a thread that would have the answers?

Compare the structure of your and original *.sch files in:
...\CONTENT\T3\Books\English...
...\CONTENT\T3\Sounds\schemas\conversations\PlayerGarrett\...
Once the objectives are created, you can easily edit the files and thus provide support for the three other languages (although the Russians tend to use the French "slot", you might want to PM clearing et alii).

Adsk1, Beleg,
actually I was busy the last weeks with beta-testing and my original commitments for the near future would have been to translate a new T2 mission/campaign.
But since I did not hear back from the author for almost 3 weeks, I guess I am free to change my priorities.
What would be the granted timeframe for translating this mission?
I have little experience with doing translations in T3, but that should not be a big issue.
If you want me, then count me in. I guess I could start working on this early next week, but I would prefer a complete mission-zip in order to verify at least some parts of the translation in-game and compensate like that my lack of previous experiences in this area.
I always wanted to do translation in TDS as well, but the chances to do so are rather rare these days.

Excellent, thank you! I was looking in the EMObjectives.dat file using a hex editor, which also contained the text for my objectives, so obviously I couldn't see how to add multi-lingual support. That's what confused me.
I guess by using the French slot to place the Russian translation in, suggests that either there aren't so many French fans of ThiefDS, or that most have a better grasp of English?

It would be great to have you on board, thank you!:)
At the moment I don't have any time frame for completion, due to time constraints, I can only do dribs and drabs, as and when.
When you say a complete mission-zip, do you mean the finished product or that there are other files that you need?
