Sorry if this has been asked before. Back when TDS came out I never finished it, frustrated by the clunky movement. I installed it yesterday again, new from GOG. Then full patched with improvement mod. To my sadness it still moves clucky, and I just can't get into the game. I'm developing a FM that comes in after the events of Thief3 and I was hoping to play through.
Is there a tut to get the game tweaked to be more like thief2 in player movement?

There is unfortunately no way to convert the body awareness movement style of Thief 3 to the floating camera style of Thief 2 due to (I believe?) hardcoded engine limitations. There are a few posts along those lines around, but that's always been the conclusion. I'm with you on preferring the Thief 1/2 style movement.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I will play around with the tweaks more.

Just give it some time. I'm not a fan of it either and at first found it clumsy, but once you get into it, it becomes normal. It's just that the difference between T2 and T3 is huge in this regard so going from one to the other straight out may feel unnatural.

they remade the thief 3 hub area in thief 2 but no very few missions were made and none cannon to thief 3 yet

I thought minimalist mod significantly reduces the first person head bobbing, unfortunately nothing to be done about the clunky jumping/mantling mechanics.
