I've been having a problem that I have found no solution for nor have i seen anyone else with this problem. The game will instal, launch fine and videos work but when I start the first mission or try and go into the options menu that game will crash to windows and it wont say what the problem is, please I would love help.

Certainly sounds like a multi-core / hyperthreading issue - you need to run T1/TG/T2 on one core or thread.
There are several solutions for this - the best would be to install the latest version of ddfix (or simply run (
ftp://djriff.homeftp.net/patches/thief2/fanmade/TafferPatcher/TafferPatcher.exe) Tafferpatcher, which includes that fix among other good things).

Tafferpatcher is not for TDP, only TMA :mad:
