No game development studio owns the rights to the Thief franchise, so unless someone buys the IP and sticks with it long enough. We won't ever see another Thief game anytime soon.

Write a letter to the people who currently own the Thief franchise and tell them that you "The fans!" want another Thief game to be released! Everyone should do the same so there is enough demand for it.

Nah, we'll just get a NuThief sequel.
I do think the Unreal 4 guy overreacted, I doubt Eidos \SE would sue him for that. Would have been a fantastic remake

The Dark Mod is the closest thing to a remake we will ever get then. But, who knows what the future holds for the Thief series going forward.

That is so annoying when you get games like TR (which I'm a fan of btw), Tom Clancy, GTA, Assassin's Creed, etc. being flogged to death for the last few pennies.

My god that looks unreally (lol) good. It's incredible how great the old sound works with improved graphics. Another testament to how good it was in the originals. Surely the sounds are too compressed and the like, but disregarding that, it really works.

When a game becomes so popular, that they keep pumping out sequel after sequel, commercializing it, diluting it, &c.
Dark Mod is definitely a great substitute for the ever elusive real Thief 4

Yeah, it looks so realistic and amazing when I first the saw the video clip.
