Well I was just curious and wasn't expecting a yes so it's alright and I understand. Guess I'll be working my fingers to the bone for the next 7 days though.

You're not the only one working from sunup to sundown on their mission. Only today, my mission finally reached the point where I'm satisfied and ready for beta-testing. Thanks a lot, RL...
And there's no shame in missing the deadline and releasing your mission on its own afterwards. There are a fair number of great missions out there which the author(s) acknowledged were originally intended as a contest release, but couldn't be finished on time. "What've You Found, Little Fly?" by Xorak comes to mind.

I agree that it wouldn't be fair to the other contestants. But please release your mission and be sure to say it was meant for the contest.

I've been working on a mission too - tried to speed build something in a three week span. Although I've got pretty far, I can't see it being done before the deadline, there's been too many distractions in real life lately.
Maybe a group of us could create something like a 2nd wave of releases, and release them a month later on 12/30. Sure, they'd be ineligible for the contest, but I wasn't expecting to win anyway. I wouldn't mind another deadline, I have a feeling if I miss the true deadline, I'll just shelf the mission, get lazy, and never finish it.

I suppose this belongs in this thread, if not feel free to move it, mods.
While testing my contest mission with the GOG.com version of Thief gold, I discovered that blood splatter looks much different than on the disc version of the game, see here:

Looking at the OBJ.CRF for both versions of the game, the .bin files and .gif texture are the same for both versions, so I'm at a loss as to how the GOG version managed to pull off different blood...
I tried including the .bin and .gif files from my disc install in my FM archive, but it changes nothing when playing through GOG. So perhaps the GOG version renders .gif transparency differently? This is a very minor point but I'd like to fix it if anyone has any suggestions.

That's the thief 2 blood splatter on the right. It's included in one of the mods that TFix installs: patches/obj.crf/txt16/blood1.gif in my Steam+TFix install of Thief Gold.
In both my GOG Thief Gold install (no extra meshes or textures), and my other Steam TG install without TFix, the blood splash looks like this — the texture is a little different than your left picture. I believe this is the original Thief 1/Gold blood splash appearance.

Ahhh! Thanks for the clarification, that makes so much sense now. I suppose I'll leave it as is since I don't want to include any Thief 2 resources in my submission, but I definitely prefer the way it looks with Tfix.

Well I can't speak for anyone else but there are no major issues with mine. I'm just nitpicking small details while I wait for some translations. Granted three weeks ago I was rushing, but my beta testers helped iron out all the issues that needed to be addressed.

Unfortunaly i inform that i will have no time to finish my mission.
Last month i found a job, and i have less time to work on dromed and that not be enough to finish my mission for the 30th november.
