So, I've been having problems with (
http://www.sold-out.co.uk/productMastertronic.asp?pid=823&productLabelID=2) this product which I have bought.
I installed Thief Gold, from the disc, booted it up, played about 1-5 minutes of the training level and then it crashed, tried it again, same result (and another few times after that). I've looked over the technical help and FAQ threads here but have found nothing regarding Sold-Out Software's "Thief: The Complete Collection" crashing.
Running the game on Windows XP, not Vista or 7 (if that's anything). Tried it in Windows 98 compatibility mode and it doesn't even start up, tried it in Windows 2000 compatibility and it gets the same crashing.
Does a Windows XP patch for Thief Gold exist? Could someone direct me to the right guide for getting this version to work? And yes, I put "Sold-Out" into the search and nothing remotely related turned up.

I saw this one earlier and tried it (and came to the conclusion that it didn't work for me). But after re-reviewing the information in the FAQ it links to, I realize my problem. After changing the affinity for amount of CPUs I closed Thief and restarted it, rather than just continuing to play it. My mistake there, though the game is still kinda jittery at times I think I can get by with that.
Thanks for helping me out, and in the process making me look stupid. ;)
This slightly embarassing internet post will remain for all to see.

Hi Nark, could you tell me your PC Characteristics?
cause if you have a Dual Core Processor..maybe thats the problem, but I found a Solution for that trouble: (there was in spanish):
is this:
Steps:
1.- Start the Game (Thief 1 The Darkest Proyect ):
2.- give Alt+Tab (minimize the game) and do Ctr+Alt+Supr ( it shows you the Task Admin)
3.- Choose Proccess and press the right button of your mouse and choose the game Executable
4.- then choose "Stablish afinity"
5.- Need to disable one of the processors and thats it!
6.- Enjoy the Game
And I left you here this solution in spanish too:
1. Ejecutamos el juego
4. Desactivamos los procesadores que hagan falta hasta
5.-dejar sólo 1
6.- y a disfrutar del juego.
I hope helps this solution!
Cya Dude! :)
