I recently got my hands on a copy of Thief:TDP. Every time I use "-lgntforce" in run, I get a syntax error. But whenever I try this with Thief:Gold it runs the setup perfectly. I'm unsure if my CD is broken. I am able to access all the files on the CD. Is there another way to install the game?

Being that TGOLD is TDP with 3 new missions and minor tweaks, why waste your time doing so?
All TDP FMs run with GOLD, so I see no particular reason to even want to load install TDP.
For all practical, and the operative is "practical", there is no reason to install TDP if you have a successful full TGOLD installation.

Try setting the compatibility settings on setup.exe (the one on the CD) to Windows 98.

I know many would ponder why I want to play TDP when I have a working copy of Thief:Gold. I played Thief:Gold and I feel as if the 3 missions or at least 2 of the 3 missions were so noticeably out of place. It really slowed the game down for me and took away from the feel of the game. I have run compatibility mode and it does not work. Perhaps I will have to live with the thieves guild? :(

If you don't like it, then just start the mission and then use CTL>ALT>SHIFT>END to move to the next mission.
