Thief already has this.
The Sword is an upgrade. Rope arrrows and gas arrows are upgrades to your abilities.

Yep, this works for me. Have them both in it with him in the earlier bits giving way to her later.
To be clear, for the RPG elements I just mean kit choice/specialisation and skills that just alter the gameplay a little, not that change it. I've posted about this before. The core gameplay elements would all be there but with some supplementary choices.

It's not about having "nuts", it's about having enough functioning brain cells to realize Thief doesn't need another game and that it should be left alone with its little remaining dignity.

and true thief fan would want a thief 4 from thief 3 ,if you don't then you not a fan

Many people here on TTLG, myself included, have played through the entire Thief trilogy multiple times, and have played hundreds of FMs. Some of us have even taken on the challenge that is DromEd and released an FM of our own (or more). And yet, we are perfectly content without another Thief game continuing the story after TDS. So, based on your reasoning, we must not be "true" Thief fans.
Fortunately, there is
only one definition of a Thief fan:
anyone who enjoys the Thief series. There's no such thing as a "true" Thief fan or a "false" Thief fan.

and so everyone knows i am not for a reboot of thief but a true continuation of thief 3,with out the hip replacement Garrett had in thief 3 :P

I wouldn't mind a sequel to Thief 3, but I'd far prefer a reboot of Thief 1. It's about time.

Weak argument. That's not exactly a "branching tiered progression system."
And how is the sword an upgrade? It's given to you right from the start. And you don't earn gas/rope arrows, they're just items you buy from the store.
