Doing a quick search I see some places use provoke as a synonym for "call forth", but, while at a great stretch I can see how this may be, it's not really what the word means.
It just doesn't have that flavour,
there is more a feeling of a request so I would say to evoke or elicit are better fits as meanings.
edit; missed last post, yes it does fit in the 2nd instance, but I would still say provoke has a harsher connotation ;)

Ok I've got the complete meaning :) Thanks Namdrol, your last post was fundamental.
Now it's time to post it in my Facebook :laff:

I love the thieves:
"Get out of here, if you know what’s good for you! "
"Cmon now, I won't hurt you...much"
"Well, well! Look what we’ve go here! "
(finding body):
"Oh-ow, I didn’t do this! "
"Oh ow, a stiff! "
"Huh, poor sod! Better you than me. "
"Hmmm...better you than me. "

Ahah these two ones are funny :laff: But I really hate the other thieves, because they are always against, and they are really damaging, and strong to KO.

I love this mechanist robot quote from T2:
"I detest the tongue, and abhor the lips. For lips and tongue can twist truth into lies. I am a child of Karras, and no lips or tongue have I."
So true...

I noticed that lately, and is one of my favourite speeches. Those machines are so superior to the humans...

Benny in Thief 3: "Sleeping?? Nooo, this one is dead!"
Lady Van Vernon's Guard on Thief 3:"You should be ashamed! Hiding like a coward!! "
Lady Van Vernon's Guard on Thief 3:"You get over here and apologize! I'm bleeding!!"

Where is Lady Van Vernon's guard in TDS? :weird:
I found SQ City Watch officer Marley in the actor browser but not in the game yet.
