I've been away from Thief and these forums for many years now. But recently I thought I'd try to run it on my iMac. So I installed VirualBox and a Windows XP VM.
So far I have been able to install Thief Gold and can run it but with the following issues:
* Even though I make my Windows VM full-screen, Thief only uses a small portion of the screen in the center. The rest of the screen is black.
* The sound is strange; like an echo.
Has anyone else tried Thief on a Mac in VirtualBox? Anyone have any ideas on how to fix the above issues?
Thanks.

I'm moving this to Technical & Troubleshooting. Hopefully you'll get more helpful replies than the last 3 posts.

wine+ddfix 1.5.6 should get it running. install the game on a windows pc, fix it up with (

Been a while since I've done anything on a quack, but doesn't parallels fusion provide some directX support? What about Sun virtualbox? The latter is free and runs a great number of games halfway decent.
I'll see how Thief and Thief 2 do under VirtualBox on PC. Under Mac I believe compatibility is identical.
I'd dust off the hackintosh, but a GMA 950 isn't really enough to bother with.
