Dear Taffers,
I welcome you to a new series called Thief Moods, which is made up of three ingredients: Thief gameplay, poetry or literature, and music:
(

In this first Thief Moods, I combine a passage of Virginia Woolf’s Waves with scenes from T2X: Shadows of the Metal Age, and a haunting guitar riff, to underline the ephemeral nature of this delicate life.
Since Thief bestowed upon my life a rhythmic poetic hum, this idea of Thief Moods came to me naturally. Surreal scenery all seemed to coalesce for this great mission of mine – to treat video games as art.
I welcome your feedback and suggestions.
All my love for Thief and its fans!
Yours faithfully,
The Motion Picture Shaman

Well done. :thumb: It caused me to look up “
The Waves”.
I had always assumed Woolf was American, having seen "
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" decades ago. To my shame I found Virginia died at Lewes (Sussex, England) just a few years before I was born (at Lewes under
The Downs). Her house is 12 miles from here. :tsktsk: One of these days I’ll visit.
You may know (

Argh”.

Within the last 14 days, motionpictureshaman started three separate threads about their videos in Thief Gen. Can we combine them into one thread?

Hey Aged Raver! I apologize for the very late reply, I had a very chaotic period of time recently. I'm super happy that I made someone else interested in Waves, it's one of the most incredible reads, it feels so primordial and magical! I hope you get to visit her house soon, would love to hear the story. And also, that song is super awesome and groovy, I am so grateful that you shared it. 'You play the host/ for your friends and ghost/ 'till they tip their hats and take their coats,' sooo cool!! I think I want to learn it on guitar now. Anyway, hit me up if you every visit Virginia Woolf's house and want to share your experience, I am super curious, thank you!
