You're talking about a separate forum where there is one thread per mod, and where your average user cannot start up a new thread to muck up the forum, right? That sounds ideal. Can't be too difficult to set up either.

I certainly didn't say that. Preventing users from creating a thread for their own mods would rather undermine the entire point.

I was just assuming we were trying to avoid (for example) 10 random people starting 10 different threads with questions about T2Fix. Then after several months (or years) the "official" T2Fix is impossible to find.

That's what moderators are for. Any thread started that isn't a mod creator sharing their mod, delete and a warning. Only the dumbest posters should have a problem sticking to that.
