That's ... kind of ... :erm:
Cheesy? ... There's a bit too much shiny leather; do elbows really need that much padding; and why does it have coattails? For that matter, why does it have a corset? And if I saw someone climbing a roof with it like that, I think I'd be laughing too hard to take him very seriously.
It looks better in the game, at least.
Nice find, thanks for posting it.

And usually people around here pick on me when opting for relying more on historical stuff than made-up fantasy crap. :p See the pointless swallow tails? Just because AC and all that (or a quote of frock coat design). Almost all lacing and buckles are superfluous or even hindering (imagine crouching close to walls with that many loopholes), and the only protection Garrett would need was gloves against rope burn and maybe knee pads like modern soldiers have them. Otherwise, plain simple woollen clothing. And no, I don't passionately hate the game or EM just because they introduce that stuff. And I don't scorn people who still like it, claiming to be superior.

Whoa. It looks like Garrett goes B&D in T4. :weird:
Yep. Can't say I remember any pics of old Garrett in a corset. Looks seriously uncomfortable, imo. As well as ridiculous. Unless our Garrett is aging and needs to keep a middle-aged paunch hidden from his fans. ;) Still, how could he breathe naturally in that thing; especially when parkouring or sprinting away from the City Watch? All that shiny, new, light-brown padding would detract from being able to blend into the shadows as well. I rather expected to see a large medallion thing attached to the middle front of his corset with a glyph on it; the sort of thing you'd see any respectable superhero wearing nowadays. And what's with all the buckles and straps? It must take that Garrett a very long time to get suited up for a night's job.
'Coattails'? Fancy mudflaps, maybe?
Well, it looked good in theory .....
I agree with dema; if I saw someone clambering up a rope arrow dressed like that I'd be laughing my butt off.
'Pull/creak .... pull/creak .... *lands on roof* .... crouch/creeeeaaak'.

what's with the background !? Looks like a punk from Fist of the North Star to me. :laff:

(
http://urstadt-swan.com/custom.html) They spelled Garrett wrong too. :(
(I know, not a big deal, just a pet peeve).
Yeah, those backgrounds are so ridiculous, you have to think it's just some kind of joke. Fallout 3 meets The City.
Beleg Cúthalion on 28/4/2013 at 04:54
Well, at least the Background is something that's rather unimportant to me.

We pick on you for taking things so far out of the game universe and imposing narrow real world history on something that has hardly anything to do with that. We can pick on the coat-tails and shiny tan leather and corset for simply not matching up with the Thief universe.
I'm wondering what's up with that sword and why the designers think the game's coming out this year, not 2014, among other discrepancies.
Say, maybe the coat-tails are for modesty, taking the edge off of the fetishized nuGarrett.
Nuth on 28/4/2013 at 05:59
More likely he has coattails because someone thinks they look kewl flapping around when Garrett is 3rd-person parkouring.
