No one can afford some kind of ego trip here and if ascottk is going to be the second person you cannot deal with peacefully, Massimiliano, then I'd ask myself a couple of questions if I were you. Apparently it's not all language barrier since your English has improved significantly. :erg: I think it's more or less urgent that we spend a lot of time here helping each other and that's probably why Ziemanskye and Flux helped me a lot with my FM, that's why Judith wrote extensive tutorials about the crazy cubemap and specularity stuff which he wasn't even able to exploit fully himself I think and that's even why I have translated almost every TDS fan mission into German. Just for instance.
Meanwhile, I think I'll see what I can do with the Castle map.

Both sides are going too far. No one should presume to know how a person's time is being spent, should be spent, or dismiss the possibility of circumstances from mere glimpses. Time spent writing a tutorial is very different from noodling in an editor. Working with words to instruct someone takes a different mental mode and is more tedious and time-consuming and generally not fun, unless a person has the aptitude for it. That remark ascottk made does sound like a demand and an insult, and there are expected consequences of that. The attitude in here is going to continue to keep people away from looking into T3Ed, and this forum. Shall I demand and insult people here about finishing the rope arrows already? Something most people actually want? All these things you plan to do and the rope arrows continue to kick your butts in this under-appreciated engine. See? It's real easy to be a jerk.
Who's next?

Oh my goodness, I'M IN UNIVERSITY TESTS PERIOD!! So I have not time nor energies, nor will to put myself into a tutorial (point 1), and before I've to write another tutorial, the one about CSC, that it's been an year since I promised that (point 2), so I have a priority lists to follow. It's not about that I don't want to do it, or I LIED, when I talk about that I was able to create a PSK with multiple skin. Ascottk could ask me in a way more gently, and, beleg, I have no fucking ego trip about myself. Look instead at some people that are talking about his "MOD" for months, spending a lot of pages, and publishing NOTHING, but an abundant flow of words. THIS is ego trip.
And I've posted the horse pics here because ascottk posted the new treebeast, and I though it was funny making see also this work. You should have to be happy if someone create such an NPC, instead. Yes, maybe it's not a matter of language, here it's a matter of cultural differences.

It should also be noted, while we're at it, that other projects were already underway before this one demanded time taken away from those.
I wasn't here in this forum when ascottk was a regular, so I'm not familiar with this personality I'm seeing these days. I tell you, most regulars here (thank god not all!) piss me off for their crappy 'tudes and wiseass comments with no sense of when to back off or not even start.
I only poke my head in here for a little help once in a great while and to see what incredible work you all do, and it's great stuff, but then you get into attack mode.
Beleg Cúthalion on 8/7/2009 at 09:56
There's still a difference between "The tutorial can wait, actually." and "I'm a little busy with the university right now, so I cannot make one at the moment."
Ah, maybe it's really a language barrier: "actually" means something like "in fact" or "if you look carefully" and not "at the moment". (

Erm...no, maybe a matter of temperament. :p No one here really insults or annoys someone here out of the blue, so I think if we read anything that isn't too obvious we should
always assume it is NO attack.

That doesn't justify an aggressive behaviour. Yes, I meant "at the time" when I wrote actually, and I've read some time this term is used also for the same purpose. Anyway, I already wrote in some other thread that I was studying, so the fact were already clear. Never be aggressive with me, of you'll receive a reponse of the same weight. Be friendly with me, and I will be friendly with you.

The point though Mass, is that YOU were the one who sounded aggressive in the first place, and you sounded completely dismissive as well! Consider the following.
Though you may not have intended an aggressive tone, the phrasing you chose is quite often used under aggressive/forceful circumstances by native English speakers. People will often tag 'actually' onto the end of a sentence to imply indifference, sarcasm, or that the recipient is just plain dumb.
Another thing that we ALWAYS need to remember, is that this is the internet...we can't hear the other persons voice.

Hmmmm.... I thought you was a bit more mannerly. So I guess I will stop posting in your thread.
Not necessary but it'd be nice to stick to the topic.

And remember buddy: I have nothing to prove to anyone. I guess my youtube videos have proved enough what I am able to do. If I work here, it's because I like it, and I want to help someone, but I have no work contract here.
I have not seen different skins on your videos. Yes, you figured out how to get characters in the game (which is not an easy thing) and yes you figured out using multiple materials on a single mesh. But no proof of having multiple skins in a psk.

No one was demanded to be taken away from their projects to work on this yet non-existent project. This is a discussion about a possible community project. No one's arm is being pulled. Besides, Massi basically hijacked this thread with two too many shots of horses which doesn't seem relevant to the discussion. & Massi, if you feel you need to show off your stuff, make your own thread so we can discuss your work there please.

I was kicked off the Dark Mod team so I've been waaaaaaaaay too cranky lately. I personally apologize to the people on this forum and the Dark Mod team. That doesn't mean my attitude will get any better :erm:

Totally off topic here, but I gotta know how the hell you managed to do that. NH, Spar, and the rest are pretty patient people...you would've had to throw down some hellacious drama to get kicked off the team.

You have no idea :p Spar said he didn't mind if I worked on the team so you're right about him. Basically there was a lot of disagreement regrading AI tech/craftsmanship/artistry/rigs. There were other things but that's the gist.
