Thanks! Worked like a miracle. :)
One last problem, when in game, the characters are... kinda squashed, I don't know what the problem is cause I think I've done everything else right. Only the characters are not doing fine.

try making some screenshots (printscreen).but if I had to guess, any chance you are running the default resolution (1024*768) on a widescreen monitor? in that case, see your desktop properties to see your native resolution, edit cam.cfg, find game_screen_size and modify it to reflect your native resolution-for example,if you have a 1680x1050 monitor, the line should read:
game_screen_size 1680 1050

It wasn't the problem with the widescreen feature.
Sorry to sound confusing, but the whole model is collapsed... and inside one another. O.o
And my weapons models are missing too, I can't see my sword or my bow! lol!

Great to be able to enjoy an old game on a new comp :D

ouch.something went wrong.you either did not install that patch correctly (the instructions are in the readme),or it simply does not work for you.
the best idea would probably be to start all over again, and using as few fixes as possible.
1) copy ddfix.dll,ddfix.ini,and THIEF.EXE somewhere safe,we will need them later.
2) uninstall thief, delete the remaining folder.
3) install thief
4) copy back those three files, overwrite.
5) edit cam.cfg, and add the game_screen_size line (if I remember correctly,it is not there if you have a fresh install,do you will have to add it,not just edit it),together with your resolution (example: game_screen_size 1680 1050)
6) run the game, and see if things got better (or worse).
just out of curiosity, where were the models? from which folder you had to move them,to where?

I left them in the main directory instead of placing them in a folder called mod. well, I found that out later after reading through all those readme-s. Thanks for your time. :)
This has been rather frustrating, considering that I'm not really that tech savvy. But luckily it turned out alright. ;)

aha,you forgot to move the crfs, that explains it.btw, they should go to RES,not mod-having them in mod might have some undesirable side effects.
basically, all original thief crfs should be moved to the RES folder.there are 12 files in total:
bitmap.crf
books.crf
default.crf
editor.crf
fam.crf
intrface.crf
mesh.crf
motions.crf
obj.crf
pal.crf
snd.crf
strings.crf
EP.crf is the only crf file that should be left in the thief root folder..
