Thief Gold Windows 7 64-bit

I am trying to run Thief Gold (I assume it is Thief Gold; it is the one that came with the Eidos Thief Platinum Collection) on 64-bit Windows 7. I was able to install it okay with setup.exe -lgntforce. When I fired it up, the videos played just fine, and I was able to play the first part of the intro level, but it then hanged when I had successfully navigated though the darkness. Upon subsequent attempts, the videos do not play, and it hangs when I try to start a new game. Does anyone know what is going on?

By the way, here are my relevant system specs:

Processor: AMD Athlon II 630 Quad Core
RAM: 4GB DDR3
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4200 Integrated
OS: Windows 7
