We cannot get Thief Gold to run on windows 7 at all. It crashes as soon as we press NEW GAME or OPTIONS. It wont even work without using Garrettloader. It was fine on Windows XP.
Is there any patches for windows 7 please?

We followed the info for DDfix and set compatibitable mode to xp service pack 2 but still crashes when starting new game
I got it working but still crashes when going to options menu
Is there any patches for windows 7 please?

There's an edit button which you might consider using instead of posting your edited message as a reply.
It works fine for me. You need to run it as Administrator if you want cutscenes.
If you are using the Thief EP, make sure that it is set up correctly - you are likely to get a crash if your install.cfg does not have the Thief 1-specific files loaded before the main EP. Try hiding EP.crf to see if that solves the problem. If it does, double-check that the resname_base line in your install.cfg looks something like this:
resname_base .\EP\Thief1+.\EP+.\Res

I do not know what thief EP is
It says resname_base C:\games\ThiefG+G:\thief
so what do i rename it to please?

That's fine (assuming Thief is installed to C:\Games\ThiefG).
