Strange, I know I installed Thief Gold on my (64-bit) Windows 7 PC before, but right now the installer won't launch anymore. The setup.exe process does run in the task manager though. Used -lgntforce, waited an hour, still nothing. I installed the game on this very same machine a few months ago, so why doesn't....it....work.....now!?!?!
Any tips, before I do a manual install?

How does that work? When I run TFix it asks for the folder of the installed game!?! Do you have to use some sort of -install parameter??

I'm sorry, that's beyond my minimal knowledge. Perhaps you could check out the FAQ in this forum under the 'How do I install Thief (Original CD versions) on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7?' section. There may be something there to help. Alternatively, be patient until voodoo47 turns up as he'll know and will see this thread.

If you have a THIEF directory on your CD you should be able to just copy it somewhere to your hard drive (outside of the Program Files or or other protected Windows area) and then point TFix to that location on your hard drive.

Thanks, I've done that, works. But now Thief 2 has the same problem. Well, tafferpatch here I come I suppose. I think I will just buy the two games on Steam eventually, when they're on sale next summer.

Nope. Tried it with w95/w98/ME/XP compatibility. No activity. Setup.exe just sits there in TaskManager until I kill it.
Something must have changed in my W7-installation. Maybe last month's uninstall of ThiefG/2 itself did something?
