Im trying to install Thief Gold with Vista, but before installation begins im getting the message:
"The product cannot be installed on Windows NT due to a Microsoft DirectX (tm) limitation"
Any ideas on how I can solve this?

Hi,
You'll probably want the "Legacy Gaming" forum, right below this one. In it you'll see a big red thread that says FAQ. In it you'll find that you can install the game by running the setup with the command-line option -lgntforce (ie, run d:\setup.exe -lgntforce), along with the solutions/workarounds to many other problems you'll have installing the game on a modern computer :p

When I installed thief on my Win XP I got the same error message, other than using the -lgntforce command. I set the Setup.exe to run in Windows 95 compatability setting. It probably would of had been easier if I used the command but I wasnt aware of it at that time. I hope one or the other works for you.
