Hello!
I have bought a cd containing all three Thief games and I have installed Thief Gold only. The first issue was that the textures looked super odd. I fixed it by editing cam.cfg screen depth. But the other problem is that there is no sound at all. When I look into the files I see a packed "snd" file. But I don't know where to unpack it, or if I should make a folder. It feels like the installator didn't do much with unpacking the files. I compared the bought Thief Gold and the Dark Project directory I had and it looks like it misses folders like "strings" and "BOOKS" too. They aren't unpacked.
What could cause this? I don't understand why the installator worked so weirdly on my pc.
What should I do about the lack of sound?

No erros, after starting it the sound is back! What is this dark magic?!

I'm still curious what could cause all this failure in installation. Do you have any ideas maybe?

my money is on the original installer being some 16 years old.
