Hi!
I have Win7, I tried to install Thief Gold with the ddfix and the game works just fine, but the resolution is set back to 800x600 (if I remember it right).
I installed the ddfix, replaced the exe, I modified the cam.cfg file, and each time I start Thief Gold I get a message (at the top of the screen) saying "The requested screen mode could not be set".
I probably messed up the "installation" somewhere, because it worked just fine a few months ago, on the same computer.
Could you guys locate my "mistake"?

Two bits of information are needed here, and a third might be valuable:
1) The version of ddfix being used.
2) Your cam.cfg. Try (

3) The make and model of your display.

Thank you for the replies.
I downloaded and installed everything again, (Except TGold), still the same result.

Monitor: It's a Laptop (no details on the montitor), AMD Radeon HD 6310M
This setup did work once (if I recall correctly) at least it works for T2 without any problems.

Have you tried editing cam.cfg to say game_screen_size 1024 768 instead of
game_screen_size 1366 768?

I tried it now, but sadly it didn't work either. :-( I've got the same error message:
"The requested screen mode could not be set"
I'll try a new install of TGold on the weekend, and try everything again.

mmm, I remember the ddfix DOESN'T accept widescreen resolutions.
Therefore you need to temporarily put a 4:3 resolution, and THEN use the widescreen patch.:cool:

ddfix works fine with widescreen resolutions. It does not require a widescreen patch.

Hmm so game_screen_size 800 600 does work? Other than that I would recommend re-installing and trying again like you said.
