Hi guys, I've been reading this site for a very long time without registering, sure its more than 15 years.
Why did I finally register?
Can anyone tell me if there is anything wrong with Thief Gold on Steam? I'm back to that game again and I got it on Steam lately, got TFix installed, and after "Assasins" I'm about to start "Sword" mission. How is that possible? If I remember correctly, there was Thieves Guild between those two, and walkthroughs around the internet and Thief Gold page on thief wikia says the same. So.. is that really Thief Gold on Steam, or its just The Dark Project there? uh..
Did anyone here play this game on Steam and can confirm there was Thieves Guild after Assasins?

Just launched the steam version (without TFix) and Thieves Guild loaded up after Assassins and The Sword loaded up after Thieves Guild. Seems to be working as expected without Tfix installed.
Did you copy your Thief Gold install to a different folder location from Steam prior to patching?
What version of TFix did you use?
The most current as of now is (

you can fool TFix into converting your TG install into a TDP install by getting rid of miss18.mis prior patching. so if the file was missing for whatever reason, you would end up without the gold missions - just reinstall everything from scratch and make sure the file is there before you patch up.

I have TFix 1.25d + installed polish translation mod too (it shouldnt be a problem - it was fine with previous Thief Gold version I had (not on Steam).
I will check that file miss18.mis problem when Im back from work.
As for Thief Gold folder copy before patching - nah, I didnt do it, not a problem to reinstall that any moment and get files again. I got answers on Steam community forum that there is everything fine with Thief Gold on Steam and Thieves Guild is before Sword with TFix installed...

Well, I reinstalled Thief Gold, removed all files from folder before that, installed TFix 1.25d ... and it still does not work.
Funny thing is - before I had "Assasins" mission finished just right after I got outside Ramirez mansion. Which was.. not Thief Gold thing ? or just not expert? (I had expert difficulty for sure). When I removed mod with polish translation (didnt touch Thief Gold installation yet), and loaded my quicksave, I got objective to get to safety neighbourhood. But when I got there and finished mission.. the next one was "Sword" again.
So as I said before - I removed everything, installed Thief Gold, installed TFix 1.25d, loaded my quicksave in "safety neighbourhood" and it does NOT work. The next mission is Sword.
I have no idea whats wrong with that...

restart the mission and use the ctrl+alt+shift+end cheat to finish it.

It works now.
Never thought that I would have to use cheats to play... thief.
Too bad I dont have any money at the start of Thieves Guild, will be one hard long mission to play :)

It may be because you restarted instead of loading a save, not because you used the level skip key combo.
