Thief Gold Menu Sound Changed After Fan Mission Changed It

Playing FM's in Thief Gold. Now, the menu has the sound of a crackling fire instead of the machinery sound it's supposed to have (even when playing the Original missions).

What file got changed? What FM changed it?

Follow the "Clean up of files" steps here: (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48202)
Also clean up the residue .wav files from the snd directory.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the specified folders in my Thief directory. The only folders in my Thief Directory are:

Docs
Movies
Res
Saves
Widescreen

Leave all those there. What may have happened is your dark.cfg file was overwritten by a FM and wasn't replaced by Darkloader for some reason when you uninstalled the FM. Check the timestamp on dark.cfg (in the root install folder) and if it's newer than 1999, this is probably what the problem is (since menu sounds are specified in that file). If so, copy the original dark.cfg from your CD back and overwrite it.
