Hey all. I just reinstalled Thief Gold on my pc using :d\setup.exe -lgforce. The game installed and ran, but when I would start a mission it would crash (black screen). It gave me the direct3d device driver texture error message.
So I downloaded the Thief: Gold Direct3D Texture Error Fix file, switched them out. The game now will launch a mission, but when I hit the escape key or the map key, I can hear it work (ie the sounds associated with being in the menu screen) but I'm still visibly in the game.
Can't seem to figure this out and couldn't exactly find an answer searching the forums. Anyone have a clue?

Scratch that, the game missions wont load now. The training mission loaded, but when I just tried the first mission it was a no go.
Edit: Also I've seemed to post this in the wrong forum by accident. If a moderator could move it over that would be great. :)
Edit 2: Ok so I guess I missed it in the Thief faq but it seems I need to set the AntiAliasing to either 0xAA (off) or 8xAA. How on earth do I do that?

You have to "tell" that to your graphics card driver. The Windows versions I know (XP, for example) usually give you access to this driver when you right-click on the Windows desktop and then look for something like "Properties". I don't know exactly how to proceed, but you should be able to reach your graphics card driver there. And somewhere in there, you may find an Anti-Aliasing option. Setting it to zero or "off" means "0x AA", setting it to "8x" is what "8x AA" means.

Set your graphic drivers to 'default'. I would also suggest you set the affinity for the app to a single CPU. I made the following command (Paste it into a shortcut on your desktop) for Thief specifically In WIn 7 64-bit Ultimate:
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C start /affinity 1 thief.exe
In addition, you need the DX thief fix that can be found on the web:
