Ive resolved my question concerning the saving issue in theif gold it now resides in my documents and is working perfectly . . . :cheeky: ive installed the TFix patch and the ultimate difficulty patch although im not sure that is actually working yet as im still relieving bafford of the sceptre !! I would love to install the HD mod to see how the game looks ive seen the you tube video and I have to say it looks great !!
I downloaded the HD mod (took about an hour) into my downloads but when I tried to open it it asks for a program . . im a bit stumped here am I doing something wrong should I run it and not save ? :confused: could someone point me in the direction of some tutorial or a post that explains how to do this :eek:
I have messaged the owner of the patch directly but I thought I would post here as well
great to be back in the thief universe again . .ive played the game scince its release coming back to it every now and then to relive it :thumb::thumb::thumb:. . but now with all these mods and patches it looks as though its gonna be even more exciting this time around :D:D:D:D:D:D im running windows 8-1 on an I7 quad core 16 GbRAM and a1Tb HDD AMD radeon R9 270

you install TFix, then hdmod, done. ultimate difficulty is not compatible, stay away from it (the old one. the new one obviously is compatible with hdmod).

ah, I was automatically thinking of the first, oldDark ultimate difficulty mod (which isn't compatible). completely forgot about the new one.

Am i to understand that everything i need is in the link you provided ? I have tfix installed should i delete that and install everything again does tfix need to be installed first ? And the hd mod last ?

Not sure what you are talking about. You downloaded the ThiefGoldhdmod.exe, but you can't install it? More informations, please.

well I got home and tried to download the hdmod from the link with the above video . . . .ha no chance !! it keeps on telling me that smartscreen has blocked an unsafe download I did download something that was zipped it had 4 lines the 1st was the original hd mod the 2nd & 3rd read ultimate difficulty and the 4th was a readme text
what the hell is going on here ? I am just not getting what I need to do all this can anybody shed some light on all this I would be very gratefullfor some detailed assistance here as im now getting fed up
