Thief Gold crashes upon entering game. - by anilEhilated

Firstly, I'd like to say I read the FAQ and there is nothing addressing the issue there.
Now, I've been playing Thief Gold more or less without problems for the past few days (Installed in compatibility mode, turned off one CPU, the things), and it worked just fine, but today, when I try to load my games, it just crashes into Windows upon leaving the loading (objectives) screen.
Anyone knows the solution to this?
More specifics: Playing on 32-bit Vista, tried compatibility for both XP and 98/ME. GPU is an Intel itegrated - I've finished System Shock 2 on that, so there shoudn't be problems in that regard. Besides, Thief ran just fine before. It doesn't seem to be a matter of corrupted saves either, as the crash repeats itself when I try to start a new game.

Just try rebooting. Sometimes it happens to me if I haven't in awhile. Like as soon as I'm about to go in-game it crashes to an error message. After I reboot it's fine.
