Thanks kabatta!
Small update for you all. I was going to have a dress up when everything was pretty much made. All the clothes are done, I just need to fletch my arrows. There was a bit of a hiccup because the fletchings I bought were too big. So now I have to wait for some smaller ones to be delivered. I might post pictures up soon, or wait till my arrows are done. I'll see what time I have spare :D

I completed my first arrow yesterday with my dad's help. Now it is rennovated with new fletchings.
I think the turkey feathers give it a more authentic look. Just 3 more to go and then I promise its a dress rehearsal!

Turkey feathers is correct! That's what the texture artist chose. ;)
Nice job.

Real cool, I love what you have done so far... But do you have to call it cosplay? Sorry to be all nitpicky and behind the times, but I'm just not with the whole naming-small-pastime-traditions-after-Japanese-ridiculous-trends here. If I start calling it dress-up, it's because my old traditional (not neoconservative) self is blocking something... Most likely how ridiculous Japanese trends are starting to become so popular in the western parts of the world (Although it's been more like name-swapping than anything).
I'm not Xenophobic or anything, but I just happened to have grown up in a time before the Japanese were given such reverence. The west is far from ever achieving the productivity of Japan, in terms of ratio even. Heck, we'd all (
http://www.economist.com/node/10329261?story_id=10329261) work ourselves to death if we tried to (
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/japan/8257400/Third-of-young-Japanese-men-not-interested-in-sex.html) mimick them... or if we started another civil or world war before all that, it seems. :nono:
... But enough of my off-topic political yammer; the Japanese aren't Hammerites! They don't want us to
join them... :cheeky:

I know what you mean, Albert. But you'd be surprised what counts as cosplay nowadays. As it was originally a term for Japanese manga and anime characters, it now extends to film, tv and even pop stars.
It becomes more and more of a challenge for people every year to create something different. Though I don't follow the trend exclusively to compete, I just enjoy making the costumes of things I like. Having created Mortal Kombat Scorpion and Sudowoodo in the past, I'll still keep doing it for as long as I get enjoyment out of it.
Thanks jtr7! The old fletchings are a bit of a pain to take off, they are glued on so well! But a little patience paid off as the result with the new ones looks pretty good.

The first pic is SO badass. Would be even more awesome with a dark, gloomy background. A fine application for Thief 4 concept art, that is ;o
And the belt-level goodies look like they're just waiting to be grabbed, accompanied by the classic "ioink" sound. Well done.
