I got the game to load and run using windows 7 prof. The problems I have are..No in game sound. Sound test fails. AI are unaware of my presence. And I don't have any starting equipment. Any ideas?

That sounds like the scripts are not getting loaded somehow. A few questions:
1. Are you running the game in administrator mode?
2. What is your Thief Gold install location?
3. Any antivirus/security software running?

Yes.
c:\program files (x86) ThiefG
Windows essential security.
I agree, but how do I get them to load up?
I used "tgfix" to get this far if that helps any.

Try installing Thief Gold in C:\ThiefG and not C:\Program Files (x86). Windows 7 may not letting you use the scripts because it is blocking it.

Nope, no good. I did however, re-install TG and ran tgfix again and this time it worked. Don't know how long it will last, but so far so good. Now if I can find those graphic enhancement packs......

No problem. Try looking for tafferpatcher for Thief Gold. It has both texture and mesh packs in one. Voodo47 posted a link to it in the thread here about the weird apebeast textures.

I have tafferpatcher for T2 which worked great. I wasn't aware of tafferpatcher for TG. I'll peruse the forum for it. Thanks

Yeah I don't know if it has an installer though. Also, you can search for Enhancement Pack. I don't know if it has that included either.
