Daniel Thron, one of the original Thief creators, has released a fan film for the series. It's called "Cutscene Zero", and it just went up on YouTube.

Great stuff. Daniel Thron himself had an amazing voice, if I recall correctly. Would have been neat if he had a line or two.

I just saw him post this on his Facebook page. Really cool. I was just saying in another post, who needs T5? What we could use is a remake of the original, and this is kind of fodder for how cool that could be.

His voice is definitely in there. He's voicing Constantine in this video, pretty sure.
Excellent job with it, I love it!

A remake of Thief: The Dark Project probably makes most sense commercially right now. As a fan, I would not mind it as long if they managed to keep the grittiness, rough edges, and mystery of the original.

Nice little easter egg right at the very end, btw, if anyone happened to miss it.

It's great to see the OG master doing something so fateful to the old style but clearly modernized. I really think a remake would work under the right hands. The videogame industry is so broad now that if it's well made it will find it's consumers. Problem is "merely" economical and of dedicated devs not fucked with by upper management.
