I enjoyed this thread in regards to Thief 4/Nuthief vs Deadly Shadows, so I decide to be a little s%#t disturber and open this can of worms :cheeky:
I'm sure this has been discussed in the past but I have yet to see a poll.
I have always sort of considered Thief 2x to be the real spiritual Thief 3, so I've included it in the poll.

I tend to like most whichever I am currently playing, so can't really pick a winner between 1 and 2.
Think Gold has to have the edge over DP for having more content. And the Mages. Though Lost City DP is less stressful that the Gold version.

I think Thief 2 is still the pinnacle of the series, especially regarding it´s well crafted levels.
Btw: why is Deadly shadows not on the list?

TG due to more content than TDP. I always felt like more was at stake in the TG campaign than T2.
TDS was too clunky and consolized when it was released. I still enjoyed the story.
Liked T2X, but it's missing the polish you see in studio releases. Still a great FM campaign I play to this day.
I'm looking forward to The Black Parade campaign being released.

The Dark Project by far, unmatched atmosphere and level design. When I see Gold I always think of Thieves' Maze or was it Guild but really was a maze, I swear it was made by amateurs when the talented people had already left Looking Glass, same goes for T2, so bland levels and almost no atmosphere.

Was never a fan of T1. Never even played through more than half of it. Maybe I'm just not into zombies. But T2 is a masterpiece, the atmosphere in it is the best of all three. T2X is a very close second.
I find it strange you can choose between DP and Gold since it's technically the same game. Though to be honest Gold level design looks so shitty :cheeky: Most fan missions are way better designed in most aspects.

@mikjames I would surely not take the crown but there are still a few people out there who really love TDS (me including), even tough they are a minority.
