Hello Everyone,
Today, I am writing on behalf of veteran Thief developer Mike Chrzanowski.
Some time ago Mike was involved in a car accident which has left his right hand paralyzed.
As a result, he is now suffering from serious financial and health problems, and his injuries have
impacted his ability to work. Mike's situation is now a crisis. I am here today to ask all fans
of Thief to please consider donating whatever you can to Mike's GoFundMe, here is the link:

I want to assure everyone that this is a very real, very difficult time for Mike. This is a legitimate
request for assistance, this is not an exaggeration or a ploy of some kind. I don't see the merit in
broadcasting every minute detail about what he's going through all over the web. To the best of my
knowledge, the information in the above paragraph is true and if he doesn't get some financial help
soon there are going to be serious consequences.
I have been in touch with Mike on Facebook for a long while now, I've seen him try damn hard to
rehabilitate his hand so he can get back to work. I've also watched as the system has failed
to get him the help he needs. Medically, as well as financially, he has investigated all kinds of options,
resources and and alternatives. He needs help. I confidently vouch for his good character and
I am certain that he will put all financial assistance to proper use.
I wish to address myself specifically to the Thief fandom. For years we have derived such lasting
enjoyment and satisfaction from the great works of art which we call the Thief games. Now, it
is time for us to support one of the artists who made Thief for us. If you have enjoyed Thief, if
you have enjoyed TheEyeOfStone videos and fan art, please seriously consider helping out.
I myself was only able to spare $20.00
Maybe you can spare $2.00, Maybe you can spare $200 or $2,000. Anything will help.
Thank you very much for reading this and do keep on Taffin' around.

FYI, for anyone unaware of Mike's contributions to Thief, he had a hand in designing/creating the following Thief levels:
Mage Towers
Shipping and Receiving
Eavesdropping
Blackmail
He also voiced one of the thieves from both games, I believe. Not sure which one exactly.
This was a page he put up that documented via photos the final days of Looking Glass:

Doesn't have to be the third world. The medical system can fail a person even in the United States, where the insurance system is complicated and services aren't guaranteed.
