Firstly, hello all. Secondly, I need a bit of help, please!
Has anyone successfully ran Thief 3 on a 16.9 display?
I've managed to play widescreen perfectly on a 16.10 monitor previously (1680x1050) using the Resolution=-1 option, and the FOV changing tool, but I'm now having problems with a 1920x1080 resolution HDTV. The game will load up fine, and I can start a game OK, but if I try to load a saved game, the program hangs immediately. I'm also unable to exit to desktop from the title screen - same thing happens.
Any thoughts?

Happens to me too... maybe it is a 16:9 thing. Anyone gotten it to work at 1920x1080?
I just apply the FOV patch anyway and run it at a 4:3 resolution... it looks "OK".

Oh well, at least I know that it's not just me! It's a real shame, though - looks great in widescreen.
Thanks for the reply.

Old thread, but for anyone else: Try using the first of the two fov patchers, which can be found on the widescreengaming forum. It contains a "crash fix" function that i think you only apply once.
