Thief cutscenes not playing

ok,one more try,put this cfg in yout (https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B6HbtMBk0pYzNjYwMDQ1MTktNjI3YS00ZGM1LTkwZGQtMzAxOGZiODVkODU2&export=download&authkey=CPyy-fEH&hl=en) t2x folder,and rename the xmovies folder back to movies.

basically,it seems like there is something wrong with your cfg files,as t2x is unable to find the movie files,and crashes.I have had exactly the same issue,and I have fixed it by editing the cfgs and making the games portable..that what I'm trying to do with your install,but unsuccessfully so far.

I restored the originals for T2 and T2X then I overwrote the t2x one with the one provided,it crashed to desktop again,I think it has something to do with the movies folders because why else would it crash to deskop when ever a cutscene is supposed to be played but when I chance the name of said folder the game works fine albeit the cutscenes don't work.So know the question is how to we get the game to work and have the cutscenes work too. Has anyone else ever had such a hard time or just me because I have no idea why it's giving me a such a hard time getting everything to work this time.Though this is my first time with T2X.

well,I'm officially out of ideas-the filepaths should be ok,codec is installed,movies work when played in movie player,I have no idea why it crashes ingame..maybe some conflicting codec pack or something like that..

I think I know what is the vp3 also comes with klite codec pack which I use since it helps with TG and T2 but is also installed for T2X so I have to find file installed from t2x and uninstall it so only uses the Klite codec.I think the codec included with T2X was for an earlier version with windows so my be causing problems because that one is doesn't get along with windows 7.Do you know where I need to go to get it rid of the files.

That didn't work.Man what am I gonna do.I am gonna make a post about it in the T2X section which I didn't know was there but this post started with a different issue first anyway so its no big deal.

I got it to work,I had use the codec provided then disable the one provided by klite codec pack.Everything works know so its time for play some thief. Well I am glad I now know what to do now.Thanks for the help.

I have to use it other wise TG or T2 cutscenes wouldn't work and doesn't mess up has ofter has inideo 5.Other than that one issue with T2X it doesn't cause a lot of issues.I could never get the scrooge permanent movie fix to work.So klites pretty much my only option.
