Thief cutscenes not playing

and see what happens.

That didn't work I won't find the disk for since thief 2 and by proxy thief 2x needs the disk in the drive.

and t2 should not ask for cd..

It didn't work because the game wouldn't start because it couldn't find the disk,I don't have standard thief 2,I have thief the complete collection.I have it installed and everything but it still requires me to have the disk in while gold and deadly shadows do not.

replace your t2.exe with (http://www.saleck.net/Downloads/Thief2-TheMetalAge/DDFix-Thief2.zip) this one.

yup,it started not detecting the cd after replacing darkinst.cfg.If I put back the orignals then all we need to do is get the cutscenes to play in game for thief 2x because its not a codec issue since they play in windows media player just fine,but they won't play ingame like they should.

ok,first,use the t2.exe from that archive,second,put t(https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B6HbtMBk0pYzMGE0YmQ0ODctOGM1OS00ZWNiLWIyN2EtY2E4YjNhNzRjOTUx&export=download&authkey=CL6LtJcL&hl=en) his cfg in your t2 folder,and (https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B6HbtMBk0pYzNWNjMGNkOGQtOTAyMS00NjQ0LTlkMjgtYWEwNjRmNWI3YTZj&export=download&authkey=CPKTopQD&hl=en) this cfg in your t2x folder.should work now.

Both T2 and T2X work know but there is a problem,the cutscenes still don't play in T2X but thats because when I renamed the movies folder to xmovies because otherwise it would crash to desktop.But when I change the name back it crashes again,so I tried changing it in the cfg and it crashes again so I have no idea why any of this happens but hopefully this means we are getting close to fix this.I will also make sure to never uninstall so I never have to worry about this again unless GOG releases the first 2 so then I don't have worry about the cd if the original never had that problem.Well lets up its almost solved.
