Hey I would point out that a "Confessions" blog (and the imagine one too probably) relies on other people making submissions to it so while she does control her blogs' content (she CAN choose not to post) that doesn't mean her thoughts are precisely those expressed by any of the confessions, so many of them being pro-EM comes from other people.

Her 'blogs' are made from the promotional materials provided in the Thief fan site packages. If they had existed long ago, it would carry some weight, as it stands...this is just EM marketing.
The PR machine intends to drown out the old timers I guess. Loud and brash.
Nothing against her personally, she's just doing her job.

This style of blog has existed for a while now, and they are definitely not run or endorsed by companies (see the Skyrim ones etc.) a while may only mean a few years, but still. Thief is old, many people who loved it did not keep up with it all this time and so there would naturally be a resurgence of fans who had moved on once there was an announcement of a new game. She is probably one of them, or like another person I followed for a while, had Thief on a list of favourite games but only really did major things after the Gameinformer release.
Using a fankit doesn't mean you owe Eidos anything, those things are free. This isn't PR so much as the natural surge of interest upon the announcement of a new game. The article is PR, but her blog is not. Scrolling through it also reveals there are indeed confessions/imagines pertaining to Thief 1 and 2 and even some bitter about some of the decisions in T4.

I think she's authentic. Check her post history on the main forums. It'd be a pretty lengthy and elaborate hoax to ask about the game, the Garrett outfit, write a note to Stephen Russell, create an entire fictitious life story on her blog about why Thief means a lot to her, craft answers for the Q&A, etc.
Yes, PR machines can do a lot of work (ARGs, etc.) but I don't see this persona being crafted by EM marketing. That'd just be too weird; especially when you add in the story about her mom. I don't see EM doing all these things.

Hey I don't like some of the design choices in the new game so if working at EM let me change that then I'd wanna be there too.

What exactly is the issue here? EM says she's one of the biggest Thief fans that they have met -- is anyone really doubting that? Considering EM's interaction with the fans so far, I'd say that it's very likely the honest truth.

Ahh, I misunderstood. I thought she was one of the voice actors and also blogging etc.
