Well, I hardly post here these days, but I've got to say that is some really glorious work. Really something to be proud of.

These are incredible! Well done!

Oh my shit! That is awesome! Please do a series of night shots, perhaps even with holes poked into something black for stars! It would be awesome to make a cutscene with them. Amazing!!

That is pretty damn cool. I really want that Hammerite painting.

I jawdropped after seeing this amount of details and dedication to keep as close to the source materials even when those often are subdue in shadows for obvious reason. My familiarity with doll customization is limited but I am not blind to craftsmanship and experience in doll customization, miniature painting and making miniatures in general in this project, which seems like is very complicated to work with. I wish everyone participated with it will be still proud of the effects years later.
Just to inform, the 1:6 scale means Garrett is around 33cm/12inch, similar to barbie doll for visual comparison. So with the diorama included the whole project is massive in size.
Yet so small. It needs to be pointed out 1:6 scale is hard to work with, the fabrics doesn't work the same way, and space for painting and drawing is much more limited so requires precise hand.
Keeping the emphasis on skills aside I am touched by the reliquary book, it reminds me all the little postcards with saint you can get at catholic churches and stores, its just cute. Back to the details the dust and dirt on lower back of the cape is great and the lockpicking tools are arranged in same way as in briefing artwork. I appreciate how the doll stand is well blended to the diorama itself. It doesn't cut out from the rooftop but you can still know what it is main purpose.
I am curious about how did you or others managed to get the light eye? I didn't noticed anything that could suggest making extra hole in the head, nor photos doesn't show the eyes are irregular with depth. Also did some work in progress photos are saved and you will be generous enough to post about the process itself?
Good luck with the dead boys! Thankfully zombies due to their nature allow for a room for mistakes and inaccuracies that can be interpreted by decomposition.

I think what really made made me go "Wow", besides the extreme quality of the model/clothing themselves, was the hammerite book, map and painting.
Did you wrote the prayer by hand?! How tiny is each letter there?!
This is amazing beyond words :eek::eek::cool::thumb:

I love the tiny map and the tiny lockpicks.
This is amazing, I am very jealous

Thank you for your interest and appreciation, Comrades!
I'm glad we're one in our love to this wonderful world of Thief.
Will answer with quotes.

It's a shame that there probably isn't enough of a market to produce more of them, given all your design effort.
I guess it would be possible to run a commercial project like this, but only in China. They have experience, ready to go productions and an outlet. There are many cool no-licenced companies making great figures (like LIM Toys, Premier Toys, SoSoToys, etc.). And sure I do criticize it due to lack of the authors rights. Anyway there is no way to produce a figure this quality and details into mass-market for the reasonable price. So this is what distinguish mass production and a custom creation. This one is not for sale.

I don't think the rights holders would look very kindly on somebody selling Thief merch.
Yap. Let's be honest: no one will run ultra-expensive 400$+ Thief merch for 100-150 fans worldwide.
Anyway, the 3D printing is a great option. 12k printers gives us unbelievable quotability, and almost anyone can make a figurine with some funds and connections. There are many-many-MANY talented artist worldwide and I'm even not from the list of the best. So nothing is impossible.

my favourite detail is the Papyrus font on the 12VDC jack.
It's Carleton.

I'm soooooo tired by this project and writing the review that barely will do something with it in a short time.

You can easily do it. The hi-res image is available online and go to any big print shop who have canvas printing machine. Done!

Thank you, wycha. ^_^ It IS not easy to do and if you're familiar with this area you know how hard it is.
This is my third attempt to do Garrett. Previous two was a failure, my skills and partners were not ready for this.

My bad! I'm so into 1/6 scale that I forgot that people unfamiliar with this hobby don't know the size. I will add it into review in a few days, need to measure it out.

It is very pleasant to read this, because this is EXACTLY how the whole diorama was intended to feel.

I made the eye. Green led with a tiny metal tube sculpted into non-transparent black epoxy plastic and placed into head just in right position. The eye drilled with 0.8mm drill from the outside inside the tube. All this poured with a crystal clear epoxy (artificial water). This epoxy allows the light to go from the inside and gives to the eye a deep effect and a glass-like shining. Black plastic and metal tube blocking light from going somewhere else, so in the dark the effect is decent.

Thanks! I have no haste with them, but will post here for sure when it's done.

No, that is simply impossible. The whole book is about 25mm height. So the letters are smaller than one (!) mm.
It's printed on 400 dpi printer in a professional print house. Luckily my GF works there and she prints amazing staff for me. She is my muse.

Since the second figures owner is not in my country, we did a LOT of wip photos. I can share, sure. Was going to save them anyway like a part of my story. So yeah, why not? Not in a very near future, need a break from this guy. You can imagine how long is to do a review like this.
