...And I'd be very surprised if the player is actually allowed to aim and swing the blackjack instead of simply going into
"blackjack swings and hits head" -first person cutscene.
Not sure if there's a blackjack animation cutscene or how much aiming will be involved, but using the blackjack has been reduced to not being able to equip it and just tapping the "R" button to strike at the right time...

1) Unlike the bow (and arrow types), the blackjack is not treated as an equipped weapon. Instead, it acts as a sort of always-ready melee weapon, where on a keyboard you tap "R" to strike out with it at any time (though presumably this wouldn't work while holding the bow or doing something else that requires the use of hands). It is also used in takedowns, and as a sort of claw when climbing up to areas otherwise too high to reach. There were no ladders in the section we played; instead in those places where a ladder might have to be conveniently placed, there may be little metal grates that tend look kind of like a very small trellis. You go up the grates, press the jump/climb/move-upwards key, and a second later you've clambered up to the place you wanted to go. So it's a kind of Third Option.

Not sure. That might be incentive to "(R1) Takedown" right there :)
