As the title says, Thief is at GamesCom in Germany from the 21st to the 25th.
Any taffers nearby that will be heading over that can give us their impressions?
Can't give timetable info, the Squeenix site linked in the article is down.

I think the presentation is going to be a non-playable demo.

I'm in Köln/Germany right now, tomorrow i'm going to the Gamescom. I will post my thoughts of the Thief presentation. :)

If you get to play, enjoy it, but please try to find places or situations where you want to jump but can't because of contextual jumping. Even if you shoot two moss arrow patches and you want to jump between them; or two flower beds you want to jump between; or two crates or ledges you want to jump between, or? etc. Maybe also see if there are any crates you can pick up and move, and see which ledges you can fall off vs. which ones you can, if you don't mind and have time.

Yeah, I agree. See if you can break that jump/swoop mechanic. Try it in loads of different places to see what happens. It'll be interesting.

Yes, try testing out the swoop mechanic and breaking it if and when possible. Though don't get caught up completely on it, there are other things to check as well (like crouch running everywhere to see if anyone can hear you) and of course, enjoy where possible.

I will :)
But is there any german member here? My English is not that good, so maybe i can post my thoughts in German tomorrow and someone can translate it?

Ich hab zwar noch nie zwischen zwei Fremdsprachen übersetzt, aber ich kann es ja mal versuchen.

Yeah, there are some German members I think. Definitely a few German speakers.

Which I guess ought to be a pretty close approximation to the actual gameplay...
