hi, I just now downloaded Thief 2 and Thief Gold on Steam. They both seem to work well. I only played each for a few minutes just to make sure though. I used to play both years ago, using Garrettloader to play them and Fan Missions. Does anyone know of a way to use Steam to play the Fan Missions?
Or is it possible to connect Garrettloader to the "new" Thief games and then use that to switch to Fan Missions?

Hi man, I don't own Thief on Steam but these days most of us are using Darkloader and I'm pretty confident that it works fine with the Steam versions of the Thief games. The way it works is just download the .zip files of missions you'd like to play and put them in any folder, then in Darkloader, set the folder locations for Thief Gold and Thief 2, and the location where the .zip files of the missions are being stored.
Darkloader will unpack the mission you'd like to play and re-pack it again when you choose to play another mission.

Steam has nothing to do with FMs.
Never use Garrettloader, it's not supported any more
If you want to stay on the sunny side of playing FMs, don't use Darkloader, too
FMSel is much better

Assuming you have patched the games with TFix and Tafferpatcher, you can run FMSel automatically from Steam with Launch Options.
Right click on Thief 2 and or Thief Gold in the Steam game library and go to Properties.
Go to "Set Launch Options" under the General tab.
Type into the box that comes up:
If you want to play the original missions press the "Skip FM" button in the lower left of FMSel.

I didn't know that FMSel was the new trend, but I haven't been active that much around Fan Missions lately so you should listen to these guys :thumb:
