Well considering Stephen Russell is confimed to be working with Arkane Studios now to voice Corvo for Dishonored 2 if they were to announce that they're working on a Thief 5 we can still probably bet they won't listen to the fans and have Russell as he's with another studio at the moment.

Working for another studio is not generally a problem, as voice recording sessions can be scheduled and rescheduled based on the availability of actors. Not to mention that the chances of one game's recording sessions interfering with each other are astronomically slim, because AAA games take a fairly long time to develop.
