Wait. I didn't see anything about obscenities not being included in the fine print. When you hear about rampages, you automatically assumed you're allowed a slew of bad words to go along with it. A rampage without bad words isn't really a rampage at all.

Was Deus Ex: Human Revolution editable in any way? Moddable, I should say?
I'm trying to figure out if we'll be able to mod Thief 4 in any way...
Even if EM won't play ball, could the community pool money in an individual they trusted (someone established, well-known) and then that person could take our money, pay Stephen Russell to record all the dialogue in Thief 4 (after we play through the game and make a written list of it all, and possibly modify it to be more Russellicious) and meet with him somewhere with a good recording booth?
Someone should be trying to reach him and find out what his fee would be for something like that.

He's busy? That's really what you're coming up with? I mean, it's possible I suppose, but that's a really lame guess as to why he's not playing Garrett. He's done voicework in the past periodically (but not consistently), and always had time then. He doesn't appear to have an abundance of gigs similar to this, although admittedly I have no idea.
Like I said, you could be right - but do you really think that's why he's not doing it? I think it's much more likely that EM just decided to go with a new voice to go along with their reboot. I think if EM really wanted him, they'd make arrangements or write a bigger check or something like that. But they probably figure they can get by without him.

As I outlined elsewhere, it doesn't take all that long to do this kind of thing...and it's something that can be scheduled around other commitments quite easily these days, considering how much of it can be done remotely...it could be recorded in any capable space. Whether he's busy or not, EM had years to contact Mr. Russell and secure a time frame with him. Like I said elsewhere, you secure your talent...especially your lead. This is a AAA title, time and money should not be an issue in securing Stephen Russell.
